The Early Years of John Deere

Although John Deere’s acquisition of the Waterloo Gasoline Engine Company 100 years ago formally added tractors to the company’s product line, at the time, Deere was developing its own tractors in East Moline, Illinois, on the grounds of Harvester Works.
