Events Celebrate 100 Years of John Deere Tractors

More than 100 machines from the past century will be on display – some rarely available for display.

You’ll find numerous places to celebrate 100 Years of John Deere Tractors all year long — from the Smithsonian to regional farm shows. The John Deere Tractor & Engine Museum in Waterloo, Iowa, John Deere Pavilion and Deere & Company Headquarters, both in Moline, Illinois, and John Deere Forum in Mannheim, Germany, will have limited-time displays of tractors that were engineering triumphs of their time.

Main Event – Waterloo, Iowa

Our main event will take place in downtown Waterloo, Iowa, June 15-16. The event is free and for all ages. More than 100 machines from the past century will be on display – some rarely available for display. GET DETAILS HERE.

Company Exhibits at Farm Shows

Current and historic tractors will be on display in the John Deere exhibit at the following shows (Check back as this list will get updates throughout the year):

Smithsonian National Museum of American History
The Smithsonian National Museum of American History in Washington, D.C., will add a Waterloo Boy tractor to their collection – joining a plow built by founder John Deere and a GreenStar GPS receiver. Stay tuned for more details.

Gathering of the Green
a collectors’ event in Davenport, Iowa, March 21-24, will feature multiple speakers from
John Deere including David DeVault, general manager of John Deere’s tractor operations in Waterloo.

The Iowa History Museum
Iowa History Museum will have a special display from July through September.

National Farm Toy Museum
The National Farm Toy Museum in Dyersville, Iowa, will have a special John Deere tractor display during the year. Contact the toy museum for details.
